Lakeville, IN April, 2009 – Hoosier Racing Tire, along with
Newton Park is pleased to announce the Inaugural ”Little Hoosier 100” .25
USAC Midget race, which will be held at Newton Park in Lakeville, Indiana on
July, 31st – August, 1, 2009. Newton Park is known by the community as “A
Place for Kids” and this event will be “A Race for Kids”. Newton Park is
located at the intersection of U. S. 31 and State Road 4, in Lakeville,
Indiana.
For Bob & Joyce Newton, owners of Hoosier Racing Tire Corp., their dream
was to one day build a park for the Lakeville community that would provide a
safe environment for children to stay active and participate in youth sports.
Their dream quickly became a reality with construction starting in 2000 and
work continuing until the finishing touches was put into place in 2004.
The park features fields for various sports like soccer, baseball, softball
and football. It also features a 1-mile walking path as one of the wonderful
amenities. And for 2009, Newton Park is honored to host its first ever
quarter midget race.
In conjunction with USAC, Newton Park and Hoosier Racing Tire along with
several local sponsors we are looking forward to the “Little Hoosier 100”
.25 USAC Midget race that is expected to get underway with practice on Friday,
July 31st and practice, qualifying and racing on Saturday, August 1st, 2009.
