LAKEVILLE,
IN (April 29, 2005) -- With a renewed focus on the ever-expanding Dirt Late
Model Market and a completely new line of tires, Hoosier Racing Tire has
blasted back into victory lane in a big way early in the 2005 season.
With just three months of the racing season complete, the newly
redesigned Hoosier Dirt Late Model Tires have collected wins from Mississippi
to Maryland and many points in between. From a complete sweep of the Rebel
Challenge Weekend at Columbus, Mississippi to the dominance of Steve Francis
and Clint Smith in the first two events of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series,
Hoosier's new late model products have led the pack early and often.
Regional touring drivers have also found success with the new
Hoosier tires as well. Booper Bare raced into the MACS victory lane at Potomac,
MD and Scott James carried home the NARA BOB tour money from Paducah, KY on
April 23rd.
Although these wins on the national and regional stage have
been impressive, Hoosier is just as happy to see the new products have
benefited the weekly racer as well. So far in 2005, drivers using new Hoosier
late model dirt tires have collected weekly race wins at North Georgia
Speedway, Duck River (TN) Speedway, KC (OH) Raceway, Winchester (VA) Speedway,
Volunteer (TN) Speedway, Columbus (MS) Speedway, and Rocky Top (OH) Raceway.
Hoosier Late Model Dirt Product Manager Shanon Rush commented,
"We're very satisfied with the early season success of the new Hoosier
late model dirt tires. Although it was a pretty dramatic change, everyone seems
to be adjusting to it very well. We are extremely pleased with the performance
improvements--particularly at places like North Georgia and Columbus."
The results come as no surprise to the team at Hoosier Racing
Tire. After gaining the solid support of company owners Bob and Joyce Newton,
the Hoosier Racing Tire Dirt Product Team, including Engineers, Product
Managers, and Distributors, left no stone unturned in their effort to evaluate
every portion of the Late Model Dirt tire market in 2004.

Using
a solid testing foundation based on the same procedures that helped
propel the Hoosier brand atop the Sprint Car market, the Hoosier test team went back to basics and analyzed every
step of dirt tire production. Constructions, compounds, and tread
patterns were all evaluated and tested, both in the laboratory and on
the track. Through this
highly detailed and thorough analysis a new line of open competition
late model dirt tires was developed.
"Probably the most exciting part of this
program is that we have been able to develop a better tire that is
more racer-friendly," stated Product Manager Shanon Rush.
"We have greatly reduced grooving time with our new tread
patterns. We were also able to reduce the number of compounds and
constructions available to simplify the choice for the racer."
Despite the immediate success, the entire Hoosier
Racing Tire team knows the job is not yet complete. Several more Late
Model tests are being planned and work continues on new products
designed specifically for the open competition E-Mod and Eastern
Modified markets.
