 ALTON,
VA (June 10-11, 2011) -- The
Spec Race Atom presented by Honda Racing/HPD had it's inaugural event June 10th
and 11th at Virginia International Raceway.
The
cars are race versions of the Ariel Atom equipped with Honda engines and
Hoosier R6 Road Racing Radials.
The
cars are manufactured by TMI at their facility at VIR.
With
sub three second 0-60 times, great handling and low maintenance, this new
series offers exciting racing at a very reasonable price.
The
inaugural event had 13 cars competing during the first weekend of racing.
