The USAC Midget Car Series also competed at the
Buckeye Nationals. The series runs exclusively on Hoosier tires
whether the series is running on dirt or on pavement. Aaron Fike won
the feature at Attica and A.J. Fike won the feature at Lima, while J.J.
Yeley won the Midget feature at Fremont and at Eldora.
Hoosier Engineer Jon Huffman attended the Buckeye
Nationals to evaluate how Hoosier's sprint tire line-up stacked up
against all other race tire manufacturers. Congratulations to all the
teams and drivers who trusted Hoosier tires to compete on at this
year's Nationals.
Both the Midget feature and the Sprint feature at
Eldora Speedway which featured a half-dozen lead changes in the 30-lap
feature will be broadcast on ESPN2 on Sunday, June30, from 6:00-8:00
pm. So, tune in to see a pair of exciting Hoosier tire victories.

IN (June 19-22) -- The USAC Stoops Freightliner Sprint Car Series
contested the "Buckeye Nationals" at four different dirt
tracks in Ohio over the weekend. When all the dust had settled, a
Hoosier-shod car was in the winner's circle in three of the four
night's of racing. J.J. Yeley won the second and third nights at
Fremont and Lima, while Tony Elliott won the finale contested at
Eldora. While the USAC Series competes exclusively on Hoosier tires on
pavement, the Sprint Series remains wide open for all tire
manufacturers to compete--as was the case in Ohio for the Buckeye
Nationals.
