LAKEVILLE,
IN (January 13, 2012) – An exciting 2011 WKA National Road Race season has
come to a close and it was a memorable season for Hoosier Racing Tire’s new
Road Race Kart tires.
The purple brand was used by
more champions in 2011 than any other year since Hoosier entered the road race
kart market in 2007.

doubled up and took the top honors in both Animal Sprint 335# and Animal Sprint
360# classes.
The Pennsylvania native
dominated the Animal Sprint 335# class by scoring wins at Roebling Road,
Carolina Motorsports Park, VIR and New Jersey Motorsports Park. He also pulled
off a solid second place finish at Mid-Ohio as well.
Zachary drove his way to an
Animal Sprint 360# championship by collecting wins at Roebling Road, Carolina
Motorsports Park, and VIR. He finished 3rd at New Jersey and a 4th
at Mid-Ohio to lock in the championship. At New Jersey, Zachary also ran the
Animal Limited Modified 360 race where he added yet another victory to his name.
Kevin Colborn etched his name
in the WKA record books by winning the 2011 Animal Sprint 385# championship.
The Maryland native had a stellar season, collecting wins at Roebling Road, VIR,
and New Jersey Motorsports Park. Colborn clinched the championship in an
exciting battle at Mid-Ohio where he finished 2nd by a scant .079
seconds.
Dominic Greco also had a
remarkable season in the Animal Sprint 410 ranks. The Sunshine State driver was
on cruise control earning victories at Roebling Road, Carolina Motorsports
Park, Mid-Ohio, and Putnam. He also bagged a 2nd place finish at the
Grand Nationals at VIR.
All three drivers competed on
Hoosier’s new 4.5/10.5-6 R60 Enduro Kart Tire (part #22655) which has been
designed specifically around the needs of today’s 4-cycle road racers. Greco
also ran the 4.5/10.0-5 R60 (part #22150) on the front of his kart.
