(Photo courtesy of www.musiccitymotorplex.com)NASHVILLE, TN (November 6, 2005) -- The annual "All American 400 Weekend" at Music City Motorplex was contested over the weekend with Jason Hogan winning the featured "All American 300" portion of the event. The last-chance "Blue and Gray 100" race was won by Jeremy Miller who earned one of the coveted 39 starting spots in Sunday's 300-lap race. The season-ending special event was co-sanctioned by the CRA Super Series and O’Reilly Southern All Stars which was recently purchased by Ron Varney and the ever-growing ASA Late Model Series. All the weekend's competitors raced on Tires Designed for Champions made by Hoosier.

The prestigious event attracted over 70 late models with 62 drivers posting times in qualifying. Scott Carlson was the fastest qualifier circling the 5/8-mile asphalt oval in 18.453 seconds (121.931 mph).

The 300-lap event featured ten race leaders among five different drivers including; JR Norris (1-17, 95-126), Ryan Mathews (18-70, 83-94, 127-178, 266-287), Jeremy Pate (71-82, 187-265), Wayne Willard (179-186) and Jason Hogan (288-300). The race was slowed seven times for various cautions for a total of 70 laps.

After starting 21st, Georgia's Jason Hogan took advantage late in the race when, with 12 laps to go, race leader Ryan Mathews and Jeremy Pate made contact battling for the lead. The contact caused both drivers to fall back and handed the lead to Hogan who went on to take the win .186 seconds ahead of Boris Jurkovic who finished runner-up.

Charlie Bradberry finished in third place followed by Chris Gabehart and Ryan Mathews. Johnny Brazier finished in sixth place and was the last car of the 39 starters to finish on the lead lap. Nathan Haseleu finished in seventh place followed by Ken McFarland, while last year's race winner, Chuck Banes, Jr., finished in ninth place followed by Eddie Van Meter to round out the top ten.

Service for this year's event was adeptly provided by Jeff Freeman and Hoosier Tire South Asphalt. All the competitors in both the "Blue and Gray 100" and the "All American 300" race used Hoosier 3035 (left side) and 3045 (right side) bias-ply tires. (This was the same compound combination used in last year's race.)

Hoosier Racing Tire's Oval Asphalt Product Manager, Terry Newton, and Manager of Contract Sales, Irish Saunders, attended the weekend of racing. The pair also attended the annual NASCAR Weekly Series awards banquet Saturday in Nashville where all four NASCAR Weekly division champions and the NASCAR Weekly National champion were recognized. All five champions raced on Hoosier tires.
