SPARTA,
KY (June 15) -- Eddie Mercer captured the NASCAR All Pro Series

postponed the event from its regularly scheduled Friday afternoon
start. The win was the largest payday for Mercer in the series. Mercer

Thirty-four drivers took the green flag with Eddie
Mercer on the pole after earning his second consecutive Bud Pole Award
after recording a 34.707 second lap around the 1.5-mile

The race had five different race leaders. Mercer led
three times for a total of 29 laps, while Jeff Fultz led twice for 22
circuits. Scott Carlson led just once, but led most laps of all the
competitors--45 laps. Benny Gordon and Dusty Hoffman each led once for
four laps apiece.
At the finish, it was a green-white-checkered finish
to the race which had Mercer leading the final 20 circuits en route to
the win.
Jeff Fultz finished in second place, followed by
Stanley Smith, Charlie Bradberry and Scott Carlson to round out the
top five. The first ten finishers all ended the race on the lead lap.
