LAKEVILLE,
IN (October 9) -- Shane Stewart, driving the Holbrook 8H, captured
the final All Star Circuit of Champions Series race on Saturday at
Florence Speedway in Florence, KY. The win was worth $10,000 to the
young driver and completed another exciting season in the series. The
close of the 2002 All Star Series ends with Chad Kemenah on top of the
final point standings with Kenny Jacobs, Jeff Shepard and Danny Smith
finishing second through fourth, respectively. Not only did the top
four drivers in the series ride on Hoosier tires, nine of the top ten
drivers in the final standings were all members of Team-Hoosier.
Completing the list of top ten drivers riding on
Hoosier tires were Dean Jacobs (6th), Kelly Kinser (7th), Mike Wagner
(8th), Bill Rose (9th), and Barry Ruble (10th).
It was another outstanding season for Hoosier tires in
the All Star Series winning 40 of the 48 races and sweeping the podium
33 times. Congratulations to all the competitors in the series for
making the 2002 All Star Circuit of Champions season a memorable one. (View
