HURRICANE
MILLS, TN (August 14-15, 2010) -- When the 11-round AMA ATV Motocross
Championship Series season came to a close at Loretta Lynn Ranch last month, a
total of five riders were crowned national champions riding on Hoosier ATV
tires.
4-STROKE A
Cody Suggs, from Portage Indiana, won the 4-Stroke A national championship
riding on Hoosier tires.
This is the second year in a row the national
champion has used the Hoosier brand. Randy Shilling won the 2009 title and was
vital in the development of the new line of Hoosier ATV
tires.
Hoosier ATV Product Manager Neil Cowman
commented, "It was great to see Cody win both motos in his back yard at
Red Bud last month."
Cowman added, "Cody comes from a great
family and is a tremendous competitor. We
are extremely happy that he was able to win this year's championship using our
products."
WOMEN C
Kelsey Dyer won the Women C class while riding on the Hoosier Tire brand.
Amazingly, the Quincy, IL rider finished first in both motos in the final three
events of the season.
Hoosier's Neil Cowman stated, "Kelsey's
reaction time at the gate is phenomenal. She is a very talented rider."
Cowman continued, "Kelsey's older sister
Kaley also races in the AMA ATV Motocross Championship Series on Hoosier tires
and both riders are great representatives for our products."
WOMEN
Union, Tennessee's Heather Byrd finished first in both motos at the final two
events of the season to capture the Women class championship on Hoosier
tires.
"This was Heather's first year competing on
Hoosiers and it was great to get to see her wrap up her seventh consecutive championship
in front of all her family and friends at Red Bud last month," commented
Cowman.
JUNIOR 25 PLUS & Veteran 30+ A/B
After a difficult season last year, Josh Strominski came back strong to capture
two national championships in 2010. The Cedar Lake, Indiana rider won
both the Junior 25 Plus and the Veteran 30+ A/B classes.
Josh capped off a spectacular season by
finishing first in both of his motos in the Junior 25 Plus and Veteran 30 A/B
classes at Loretta Lynn Ranch where more than 20 riders were competing for the championship.
Cowman stated, "I was personally very happy
for Josh. Last year, Josh was racing for the lead at Walnut (IL) and got
tangled up with his good friend Randy Shilling. Shilling suffered a separated
shoulder and Josh took the injury pretty hard and just wasn't the same the rest
of the season."
"So for Josh to come back and win two
championships, it speaks volumes about his ability to come back from adversity.
We're just proud to have been a part of his success this year," added
Cowman.
Hoosier Racing Tire would like to congratulate
Cody, Kelsey, Heather and Josh for their 2010 AMA ATV Motocross Championship
Series titles.
Hoosier also extends its thanks and appreciation
to all the competitors who used the Hoosier brand this season.
Many riders have found success in ATV motocross
competition using Hoosier's 20.5x6.0-10 (#16600) MX150 fronts and the
18.0x10.0-8 (#16700) MX100 or MX150 rear tires.
Hoosier is also pleased to announce they will be
continuing their contingency program for the AMA ATV Motocross Championship
Series in 2011 which rewards riders for superior performance while using
Hoosier products.
