Blount is from Walkerton, (IN) which is just a stones throw from Hoosier Racing Tire's factory and warehouse in Indiana. Blount took the lead on lap 84, leading the final 36 circuits of the 119-lap race en route to the win over 40 other drivers. It was his fifth ARCA Series win and first since 2002 when he won four races and the series' Rookie-of-the-Year Award. The race was the second of 23 events scheduled this year in the series. Hoosier has been the exclusive tire supplier for ARCA since the 1995 season.

A huge 56-car field was entered in qualifying with 53 drivers posting times. Erin Crocker, making her first-ever series start, won the Pork Pole Award as the fastest qualifier on the 1.33-mile concrete oval. Crocker's time was 29.154 seconds (164.602 mph). The World of Outlaws Series regular's qualifying time was better than a half-second faster than the next closest competitor.

The race had eight race leaders among seven different drivers. Drivers leading during the event included; Erin Crocker (1-28), Frank Kimmel (29-32), Joey Miller (33-38, 73-79), Tandy Marlin (39-72), Ken Weaver (80), Chad Martin (81-83), Chad Blount (84-119). The race was slowed seven times for cautions for a total of 41 laps.

Blount was followed to the finish line by Joey Miller with Mario Gosselin, Chevy White, Brandon Knupp, Ken Weaver, Frank Kimmel, Zach Chappell, Jason Jarrett and Don St. Denis in third through tenth, respectively. Josh Clemons finished 11th and Erin Crocker in 12th to complete the list of lead-lap finishers.

Jason Jarrett won the Hoosier Tire Hard Charger Award for advancing the most positions. Jarrett started 32nd en route to his ninth place finish.

The competitors, once again, raced on Hoosier's 12.0/28.0-15 radial tires used on superspeedway tracks. The cars used 5120 left side and 5701 right side tires with one inch of stagger.

The members of Hoosier's staff servicing the event included; Ken Kolter, Rick Tostevin, Doug Barnes, Dave Wroblewski, Mike Haenes, Jake Hartle, Larry Merrill, Chris Grossman, Chad Wright and Fred Awald.

The ARCA RE/MAX Series will be back in action with the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200, on April 24th at Salem (IN) Speedway. It will be the first of six short track ARCA races where the Hoosier 11.5/26.0-15 12L (left side) and 11.5/27.0-15 20R (right side) tires will be used.
