(Photo courtesy of www.arcaracing.com) SPARTA, KY (May 9, 2009) -- James Buescher and Justin Lofton were each going for their second win of the season this weekend in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Buescher won the season-opener at Daytona while Lofton was coming off his big win at Talladega. Sunday night, the two young drivers swapped the lead four different times in the Kentucky 150 before Buescher would emerge victorious. In fact, the race wasn't decided until the final lap when Buescher and Lofton made contact battling it out for the win.

Rain washed out qualifying so starting positions were set by owners points. This put Buescher on the pole with Lofton starting alongside.

Thirty-seven cars were entered for the event with 36 of them taking the green flag.

The race was slowed nine times for cautions for a total of 47 laps.

The 100-lap race also featured five leaders among just two drivers.

Buescher led three times for a total of 57 laps, while Lofton led twice for 43 laps.

The race came down to the final lap with Buescher and Lofton making contact as the white flag waved.

Buescher was able to successful ward off Lofton's attack to claim the top spot before a cheering crowd.

Buescher's margin of victory was just .928 seconds over Lofton on the 1.5-mile Kentucky oval.

Nineteen-year-old Jesse Smith finished in third place followed by Brian Ickler in fourth and Frank Kimmel in fifth.

The ARCA RE/MAX Series will be back in action this Sunday afternoon, May 17, at Toledo (OH) Speedway.
