Blount, who also won the series' second and third races of the season, now takes over the series lead in wins ahead of current points leader and defending series champion Frank Kimmel. The other story of the event was Erin Crocker. The Evernham Motorsports developmental driver earned the pole for the "WLWT Channel 5-150" with the fastest lap in qualifying. Crocker topped a stout 48-car field circling the 1.5-mile tri-oval in 31.084 seconds (173.723 mph) while finishing runner-up to Blount in the 100-lap race. It was just the second time in history that a female has finished second in an ARCA RE/MAX Series event. Back in 1999, Shawna Robinson finished second at Daytona. Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. has been the exclusive tire provider to the ARCA RE/MAX Series for the past decade. Crocker also made history last year in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series when she became the first female to win a series race. Ironically, Crocker took the win riding on Hoosier sprint tires.

Erin Crocker continues to impress the racing world with her formidable driving skills. For the second time in just three events this season, Erin Crocker earned the pole for an ARCA RE/MAX Series event. Crocker, who also earned the pole for the race at Nashville in March, topped the 48-car field with a sizzling lap of 31.084 seconds around the 1.5-mile Kentucky Speedway tri-oval. Chad Blount was second followed by rookie Joey Miller and David Ragan.

Forty cars took the green flag Friday night shortly after 8:00 pm with Chad Blount immediately taking command. Blount led the first 68 laps before giving way briefly to Erin Crocker who led five laps before Blount regained the lead. Blount led the race's final 27 laps en route to capturing the win with Crocker just 1.175 seconds behind at the stripe. Joey Miller finished in third with Frank Kimmel coming from his 19th place starting position to finish fourth.

Justin Allgaier, son of Hoosier Tire Midwest Distributor owners Mike and Dorothy Allgaier, finished in fifth place. Kyle Krisiloff captured the sixth position with Brian Keselowski, Walt Brannen, Bobby Gerhart and Ken Weaver rounding out the top ten and completing the list of lead-lap finishers. The race was slowed five times for caution periods for a total of 36 laps.

Todd Bowsher earned the Hoosier Tire Hard Charger Award for advancing the most positions. Bowsher started 28th en route to finishing 13th.

Despite winning the last two races, Chad Blount remains in third place in the drivers standings with 2670 points with Frank Kimmel still atop the standings with 2925 points. Joey Miller is in second place with 2755 points.
