ARCA RE/MAX SERIES PULLS
DOUBLE-DUTY OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND

(Photo courtesy of www.arcaracing.com) LAKEVILLE, IN -- While most of us were enjoying a relaxing holiday weekend, the ARCA RE/MAX Series was busy racing twice in three days. And if that wasn't difficult enough, the competitors raced on pavement using Hoosier radial tires on Friday night at Gateway International Raceway and then raced on dirt using Hoosier bias-ply tires at the Duquoin State Fairgrounds on Labor Day. When the long weekend was over, Bryan Clauson and Kenny Schrader were the series' 12th and 13th different winners after 19 events. On Friday, Clauson captured his first-ever series win at Gateway after starting 15th, On Monday, Schrader, starting on the outside pole, won his 15th career ARCA RE/MAX Series race at DuQuoin. It was Schrader's second consecutive win at the picturesque Illinois fairgrounds.
 
Bryan Clauson Captures First Career ARCA Win
MADISON, IL (August 31, 2007) -- Forty-one cars were on hand for qualifying for the Gateway ARCA 150 with Josh Wise setting fast time. Wise circled the 1.25-mile oval in 33.686 seconds (133.587 mph).
 
Bryan Clauson (Photo courtesy of www.arcaracing.com)The 120-lap race featured six leaders among five different drivers. Josh Wise led the first 35 laps before giving way to Dominick Casola. Casola led 11 laps before Michael McDowell moved into the lead. The number two man in driver points led the next 38 laps before Bryan Clauson moved into the lead on lap 85. Clauson led six laps before Justin Allgaier took a turn out front. Allgaier led 12 laps before Clauson regained the lead for good with 18 laps to go.

Clauson, driving a Chip Ganassi Dodge, crossed the finish line .855 seconds ahead of Josh Wise. Michael McDowell, who started 10th, finished in third place. Justin Allgaier and Dominick Casola were fourth and fifth, respectively. They were among 16 drivers finishing the race on the lead-lap.The race also had six cautions for a total of 41 laps.  

Along with the win, Bryan Clauson also posted the fastest lap of the race on lap 113 and collected the Hoosier Tire Hard Charger Award for advancing the most positions. Clauson started the race 15th en route to capturing the win. 
 
Ken Schrader Wins Again at DuQuoin

Ken Schrader (Photo courtesy of www.arcaracing.com) DUQUOIN, IL (September 3, 2007) -- For many of the competitors in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, it was just one day off before getting back on the track. Forty-four drivers made the trip to the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds and the "Magic Mile" for the 55th annual Southern Illinois 100

In qualifying, AJ Fike set fast time with a 34.552 second lap (104.191 mph). Ken Schrader was second with a time of 34.765 seconds (103.552 mph). 

The race had seven leaders among six different drivers including; AJ Fike 1-19 (19), Justin Allgaier 20-36 (17), Justin Marks 37-42 (6), Frank Kimmel 43-59 (17), Ken Schrader 60-65, 85-100 (22) and Josh Wise 66-84 (19).

Schrader was the only driver to lead twice. He also led the most laps with 22. The veteran racer crossed the finish line .364 seconds ahead of Josh Wise. 

Josh " Kid Rocket" Richards finished third in a Tony Stewart-owned Bass Pro Shop/Tracker Boats Chevrolet. AJ Fike was fourth followed by Frank Kimmel in fifth. 

The 100-lap race had seven cautions for 36 laps, while 22 of the 40 starters finished on the lead lap.  

Josh Krug won the Hoosier Tire Hard Charger Award. Krug started 24th en route to a 12th place finish to win the award.

Frank Kimmel continued to increase his points lead over Michael McDowell in the driver standings. After the weekend of racing, Kimmel now leads McDowell by 200 points heading into the final four events of the 2007 season.

Members of Hoosier's service team on hand for the holiday races included; Rick Tostevin, David Wroblewski, Chad Wright, Kevin Wroblewski, Clint Williams, Fred Awald, Chad Nichols, Mike Haenes, and Eriks Bers. 

The ARCA RE/MAX Series next travels to Chicagoland Speedway this Saturday, September 8, for the ARCA 200. The race is to be broadcast LIVE on SPEED and 2:00 pm ET.
