The race was also slowed eight times for cautions for a total of 46 laps.

At the finish, it was 11th starting Frank Kimmel taking the win by a margin of 2.080 seconds over Matt Carter. It was Kimmel's ninth series win at Salem.

Dexter Bean finished in third place followed by Justin Allgaier and Sean Caisse to round out the top five.

Brett Hudson was sixth followed by John Wes Townley, Scott Speed, Bryan Silas and Michael Phelps in seventh through tenth, respectively. Patrick Sheltra finished 11th and was the final car on the lead lap.
