The 100-lap race was scheduled for Friday afternoon but rain washed out both qualifying and the event which was pushed back to Saturday.

As a result, the starting grid was set by owner points which put 9-time ARCA Series champion Frank Kimmel on the pole.

Setting the starting grid by this method usually sets the stage for quite a bit of passing since many good cars have to start toward the back.

As it turns out, this is exactly what happened with the race boasting nine leaders among six different drivers.

Leaders during the event included; Frank Kimmel 1-4 (4 laps), Erik Jones 5-30 (26 laps), Corey LaJoie 31-35, 41, 62, 68-100 (40 laps), Chase Elliott 36-40 (5 laps), Mason Mitchell 42-61 (20 laps) and Chad Boat 63-67 (5 laps).

In the end, it was Corey LaJoie charging from 13th place to capture his third victory of the season.

LaJoie finished 2.564 seconds ahead of Mason Mitchell who started 21st among the 31 race starters.

Mitchell was followed by Spencer Gallagher in third after starting 12th.

Grant Enfinger finished in fourth place after starting 23rd with Chad Boat rounding out the top five. Boat started clear back in 30th place before motoring to a top-five finish.

The race was slowed four times for cautions for a total of 22 laps.

The ARCA Racing Series heads to its final race of the season October 4, at Kansas Speedway.

In the season-long points battle, Frank Kimmel needs only to participate in qualifying at Kansas to win his 10th ARCA Series championship.
