(Photo courtesy of www.arcaracing.com) TOLEDO, OH & DUQUOIN, IL (September 1 & 4) -- Chuck Barnes, Jr. (#35 in photo) and Kenny Schrader each won an ARCA RE/MAX Series race this Labor Day holiday. On Friday, the 24-year-old Barnes won the "Hantz Group 200" at Toledo Speedway earning the first ARCA win of his career. The young driver's victory also set a new record for the series with its 16th different winner in the 18 races contested to date. On Labor Day, fresh off his 23rd place finish at California Speedway in the Nextel Cup Series on Sunday, Kenny Schrader won the "Southern Illinois 100" at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. It was Schrader's second win of the season and 14th overall in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

(Photo courtesy of www.arcaracing.com)TOLEDO, OH (September 1, 2006) -- Forty-two cars were entered for Friday's "Hantz Group 200" at Toledo Speedway. Brian Keselowski was the fastest qualifier circling the paved 1/2-mile track in a scant 16.616 seconds (108.329 mph). 

The race featured six different leaders including; Brian Keselowski (1, 55-88, 96-160), Chad McCumbee (2-54), Frank Kimmel (89-95) and Chuck Barnes, Jr. (161-202). 

Louisville, Kentucky's Chuck Barnes, Jr. fought off Frank Kimmel at the finish crossing the line .489 seconds ahead of the seven-time series champion. Kimmel was followed by Blake Bjorklund, Justin Allgaier and Brain Keselowski to round out the top five. 

The race had 13 cautions for 77 laps which extended the race an additional two laps to accommodate a green-white-checker finish. 

With the win, Barnes becomes the 16th different driver to win this season and the 11th first-time winner this year in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

(Photo courtesy of www.aracaracing.com)DUQUOIN, IL (September 4, 2006) -- On Monday, the ARCA RE/MAX Series traveled to the 1-mile clay oval at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds to contest the "Southern Illinois 200". Thirty-six cars were entered for the Labor Day race with Kenny Schrader setting fast time in qualifying. Schrader's time around the clay mile was 34.508 seconds or 104.324 mph. 

The 100-lap race had four race leaders among three different drivers. Drivers leading during the event included; Kenny Schrader (1-23, 61-100), Billy Venturini (24-43) and Dexter Bean (44-60). The race was slowed for cautions five times for 24 laps. 

At the finish, Schrader won by 3.656 seconds over Brett Rowe, while Joe Cooksey finished in third place after starting 16th. Bob Strait was fourth with Blake Bjorklund finishing in fifth on the heels of his third place finish at Toledo on Friday. 

It was Schrader's second win of the season having won the first race at Toledo in May. It was also the veteran's 14th career win in the ARCA RE/MAX Series in just 42 starts.

Frank Kimmel remains atop the ARCA RE/MAX Series driver standings after finishing in 2nd place on Friday and 31st on Monday after contact with another competitor. Kimmel now holds a commanding 180 point lead in the driver standings over Bobby Gerhart going into the final four races of the year.

Competitors at both events this past weekend raced on bias-ply tires manufactured by Hoosier Tire & Rubber Corp. and provided by Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. All ARCA RE/MAX Series events are serviced out of Hoosier headquarters in Lakeville, IN

The ARCA RE/MAX Series will be back in action this Saturday, September 9, at Chicagoland Speedway where the drivers will be back on radial tires provided by Hoosier. The race will be telecast LIVE on SPEED beginning at 2:00 pm ET.
