Since
its inception in 2009, the series has used the Hoosier Tire R6 for all
competitors running in this series and has been a track proven, competitive and
safe tire for rookie and novice Porsche Cayman drivers alike.
“This series has shown a potential for
growth, provides a safe environment of racing and competes on nationally known
race tracks throughout the US. We are thrilled to be the official tire of the
Porsche Cayman Interseries and look forward to this series to be bigger and
better in the years to come,” stated Hoosier Tire Product Manager Jeff Speer.
"The Cayman Interseries has raced
exclusively on Hoosier tires since we began competition in 2009, and our teams
and drivers couldn't be happier with the performance and drivability,"
said Cayman Interseries President and Founder and Napleton Porsche General
Manager Ron Barnaba.
"The Hoosiers deliver the right amount
of performance for our more experienced competitors and are also ideally suited
to new and emerging teams and drivers that may be competing at this level for
the first time," Barnaba added. "It is no small task to provide a
single tire that has to serve the demands and experience levels of a wide
variety of competitors, but Hoosier has more than met the challenge with the
Porsche Cayman S."
Barnaba continued, "We are also
grateful to the outstanding at-event support we get from Hoosier and their
supplier partner Bob Woodman as both groups literally keep us rolling each and
every race weekend. We are proud of what we have accomplished with Hoosier the
last two seasons and look forward to even more mutual success in 2011."

Cayman S. Sanctioned by Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR), the Cayman Interseries
conducted its first official season in 2010 and crowned a pair of champion
drivers in both the sprint and endurance racing formats. Races are run on
legendary circuits such as Daytona, Sebring, Road America, Watkins Glen, Road
