QUOTES:
Hoosier Open Wheel Asphalt Product Manager Irish Saunders: "I have
been watching Cameron for some time now. This 16-year-old has some real talent.
I look for him to be moving up the ladder very soon. We are just glad to have
him part of the Hoosier family."
Cameron Dodson: "The tires and car were great. You really don't feel
like you are going that fast when the car is that good. Hoosier is more than a
tire company. They have helped me with making the right decisions in
racing."
Cameron Dodson, an honor student at Greenfield (IN) High School, has dreams
of one day becoming a Nextel Cup driver. With 13 national championships, 37
track records, 250+ wins and 11 winter national championships as a quarter
midget driver, Dodson and his family pulled up their Tennessee roots moving to
Indiana to give Cameron every opportunity in one of the hotbeds of United
States motorsports.
With three wins in the first six AVSS events of the season, Dodson could
well be on his way to the upper echelons of racing. The rising star would like
to compete full time in the USAC Series and then ultimately Nextel Cup
following in the footsteps of the likes of Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Jeff
Gordon.
You can see Cameron and the AVSS Series next at Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI
on Saturday, June 25.
