IN (November 25) -- An agreement was reached naming Hoosier tires as
the spec tire for the Empire Super Sprints based in New York.
Beginning in 2003, the only right rear tire brand allowed in Empire
Super Sprints competition will be the Hoosier brand. The tires will be
plated ESS and drivers will be allowed a three race grace period at
the beginning of the season to make the transition.
Hoosier Open Wheel Dirt Product Manager Neil Cowman
commented on the recent agreement, "We're very proud to be a part
of the Empire Super Sprint Series. It's definitely a great series and
we welcome them into the Hoosier family."
