Orlando,
FL (December 7, 2007) -- It was announced today that the F2000
Championship Series Presented by Hoosier Racing Tire will host a 14-race
season.
The F2000 Championship Series Presented by Hoosier Racing Tire is based on the
concepts of great tracks, good seat time, affordability, and fantastic
competition. With a mix of seasoned veterans and young hot shoes; it
provides some of the best open wheel racing in North America, bringing 40 plus
cars to the grid in every event. It is sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing;
running with great events such as Champ Car, the American LeMans and Formula
Drift, along with select NASA, Historic and SCCA events.
Al Guibord Jr., one of the F2000 principals, and Bruce Foss product manager at
Hoosier Racing Tire took the stage for a special announcement. Al said
“In three short years we have had the great fortune of growing this series
to the largest open wheel formula car series in the country. Today it is
with great pleasure we are able to announce Hoosier Tire has stepped up, not
only to supply us our racing tires for the next three years, but also to be
the presenting sponsor. Looking forward to this sponsorship, and having
the largest formula car series in the United States, partnered up with the
largest race car tire manufacturer in the country, is something we are really
excited about.”
Bruce Foss commented “We’re excited about the upcoming three-year
agreement with F2000 Championship series. Hoosier has watched the series grow
and excel, and we are proud to be a part of it. As stated in an earlier
release, it is my feeling we belong in this series/family; we know everybody
here. We feel this is going to be a great series for us; we had
relationships with most of the teams and drivers prior to this announcement.
Hoosier originated with the USAC Formula 2000 back in the 90’s, which proved
to be a lot of fun and a lot of success, and we’re looking forward to more
of the same. Hoosier is going to go with a radial tire, per request.
We are excited about delivering the wear and consistency the series is looking
for. It is Hoosier’s objective to present some upgrades in the service
areas, as well as, working on a program where a lot of information can be
found online, such as technical data on the tires. You will be able to
go online and pre-order tires for events. We are looking forward to
growing with the F2000 Championship Series Presented by Hoosier Racing
Tire.”

of track time and track times out during daylight hours. The series in the
first two years has produced some great racing and we feel 2008 is going to
even step it up a notch with our relationship with Hoosier. Increased

providing some pretty fierce competition.”
