LAKEVILLE,
IN (September 9, 2009) -- Ohio's Brandon Gardner has found success both on and
off the track. The 23-year-old driver has compiled 17 feature wins this season
on Hoosier tires at Hilltop Speedway, Wayne County Speedway and Muskingum
Speedway. Brandon has now collected a total of 57 wins in the same car (shown
at the right).
Last year, Brandon graduated at the top of his class from Devry University
with a Bachelors of Biomedical Engineering Technologies. He is currently
working with Siemens Healthcare as a MRI Service Engineer.
At the track, Brandon's race team is a family operation which includes his
crew chief and father, Danny Gardner, his mother Ann, and brother Justin. They,
along with crewman Sid Danals, Eddie Gillette and Bill Berger have made the
2009 season one to remember.
Brandon also credits Hoosier trackside dealer, George Lee, as playing an
integral role in his race team's success.
Along with the 17 wins, Brandon has also claimed four 2nd place finishes and
one 3rd place finish.
In fact, in 28 races Brandon has 24 top-five finishes all using Hoosier's
Open Competition 8" dirt tire (26.5/8.0-15, PN36149 and 27.5/8.0-15,
PN36155).
Brandon also used all three (Soft/Medium/Hard) Hoosier compounds during the
year in collecting the 24 top-five finishes.
Hoosier's new Medium compound, introduced in August, carried Brandon to his
final seven wins of the year.
Hoosier Late Model Dirt Product Manager Shanon Rush commented, "Brandon
and his family, like all weekly racers, are the backbone of Hoosier Racing
Tire. It's great (for us) to have success on the national scene, but we are
just as proud of weekly results like those Brandon has enjoyed this
year."
Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. congratulates Brandon on his past success in the
classroom and his current success in the workplace and on at the track.
