LAKEVILLE,
IN -- Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. and the Great Lakes Outlaw Sprint
series (GLOSS) announced today that Hoosier will be the spec tire for
all GLOSS events through the 2004 season. The GLOSS schedule currently
has 21 race dates with the possibility of more to be added. Hoosier
tires have long been the spec tire for the series that has featured
drivers such as Boston Reid, 2001 point champion Ken Mackey, and Brett
Mann who serves as test pilot in Hoosier's R&D sprint car.
Hoosier
Open Wheel Dirt Product Manager Neil Cowman commented on the
agreement, "We are extremely pleased to continue supplying cost
effective tires to the GLOSS series through 2004." Cowman added,
"Jerry (Slade) has been great to work with and really runs a top
notch organization that we are thrilled to be associated with."
Jerry Slade, President of GLOSS, commented, "We are very
excited that Hoosier has stood by us and supported us through our
growth and look forward to a wonderful relationship with the leading
manufacturer in sprint car racing tires."
Chad Anderson from Hoosier Tire Midwest was instrumental in
securing the 3-year agreement between Hoosier and GLOSS. The right
rear tire for all GLOSS events will be the Hoosier DT-3 tire, except
when the harder DT-55 tire is needed.
The official tire dealer for the GLOSS series is Benic Enterprises
based in Fairmount, Indiana. Their phone number is 1-765-948-5758.
The Great Lakes Outlaw Sprint series kicks off their season April
