TEAM-HOOSIER REMAINS HOT
IN WoO SERIES HEADING INTO LAS VEGAS

Team-HoosierLAKEVILLE, IN -- While the Pennzoil World of Outlaws season is just getting underway having completed the first two events in a grueling 106-race schedule, it's not too early to see which tire brand dominated both nights of racing. Teams using Hoosier tires finished 1-2-3 in the season opener at Kings Speedway (Lasoski-1st, Shaffer-2nd, S. Kinser-3rd) and repeated the feat at Perris Auto Speedway a day later (Pittman -1st, S. Kinser-2nd, Swindell-3rd).

The podium sweep by Hoosier-shod teams was a familiar sight in the Outlaws series last season with Team-Hoosier securing all three podium spots an amazing 36 times.

While this season has started off extremely well for teams on the Hoosier brand, the HOT streak actually runs into last year when the final nine events of the year were won by drivers using Hoosiers with the last six races ending in a 1-2-3 finish for Team-Hoosier bringing the podium sweep streak to eight heading into Las Vegas Thursday.

With Team-Hoosier opening the season strong on the west coast with the Outlaws, east coast forces have been equally dominating. Both season openers at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway in Pennsylvania resulted in impressive results for Hoosier-clad teams.

Team-Hoosier finished 1-2-3-4 at Lincoln Speedway where Keith Kauffman was the 30-lap winner. While at Williams Grove, Hoosier tires were on the first 11 drivers to cross the finish line in the 25-lap feature. Greg Hodnett took the 25-lap victory there.

Hoosier Open Wheel Dirt Product Manager Neil Cowman commented about the early season sprint results, "We are hitting on all cylinders right now." Cowman continued, "Coming off our perfect Speedweeks in Florida and now finishing 1-2-3 in both Outlaw races and both season openers in Pennsylvania, we are extremely pleased with the performance of the tires so far. But we remain ready to implement quick changes in constructions or compounds to keep Team-Hoosier consistently ahead of the competition."

Pennzoil World of Outlaws competition resumes this Thursday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
