LAKEVILLE, IN -- The Hoosier tire brand has been HOT
starting the 2003 O'Reilly World of Outlaws season. Four races and
four 1-2 finishes for the purple tire brand. After last season's
remarkable 90-6 record in sprint racing's premier series, Team-Hoosier
starts the season undefeated at 4-0 heading into this weekend's 2-day
event in New Mexico. Steve Kinser may be the man to watch as the
series travels to Hollywood Hill Speedway this weekend. Amazingly, the
"King of the Outlaws" won all four races contested there
last season. Kinser, the defending series champion, will be one of a
bevy of drivers on Hoosier tires that will have the upper hand heading
into this weekend's event. The Hoosier brand will be shooting for
its fourth consecutive World of Outlaws title in 2003. And judging by
the early season results, a fourth title may just be in the making.
Interestingly, the Hoosier brand is actually doing better in terms of
wins than they did last season when Team-Hoosier compiled their 90-6
record. Hoosier Open Wheel Dirt Product
Manager Neil Cowman commented on the early season results, "Like
we expected, the competition has rolled out some new tires to
challenge us this year, but we remain confident and committed to
providing the best race tires in the world." Cowman added,
"And with our 4-0 start this season, I think we are proving our
commitment to remain the top manufacturer of sprint tires in the world
today." |
