LAKEVILLE, IN -- Coming off
the fourth 1-2-3 finish in five events this season, Team-Hoosier looks to continue their
early season dominance in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series this Saturday
at Hollywood Hills Speedway in
San Felipe Pueblo, NM. This will be the first stop at the new facility
for sprint racing's elite series.
The 2-day stop in New Mexico
could be the only real uncertainty in the next five stops for teams on
Hoosier rubber. After this weekend's event, the series travels to
Devil's Bowl Speedway in Texas where Team-Hoosier won all four events
last season. They then travel to Oklahoma's State Fair Speedway where
not only did Team-Hoosier win all four events, they finished
1-2-3 in each of the four races. Then, it's on to Houston Raceway Park
where Team-Hoosier was a perfect three-for-three in 2001. Finally, the
series moves on for a single show at Mississippi's Pike County
Speedway where Team-Hoosier finished 1-2 in the one race there last
season. That's a perfect 12 wins in 12 races at the next four stops
on the circuit after the stop in New Mexico. And while "past
performance does not guarantee future results," it is comforting
to know how well Hoosier tires have done in previous races -- at least
it is to teams riding on Hoosier tires. Hoosier Open Wheel Dirt
Product Manager Neil Cowman reflected on Team-Hoosier's early season
success, "I could not be more pleased with how the Pennzoil World
of Outlaws season has opened this year. Five races -- with four 1-2-3
finishes for the Hoosier brand is just awesome." Hoosier
Racing Tire Corp. wishes to thank all the teams, drivers, and fans who
have supported our efforts to provide the best sprint tires in the
world. Racing begins Saturday afternoon and will be carried live on
