LAKEVILLE, IN -- Although rain claimed one of the two scheduled
races at Eldora Speedway last weekend, the one race that was contested
resulted in the 15th Team-Hoosier win and the 14th 1-2-3 sweep in 17
Pennzoil World of Outlaws events this season. The latest dirt track
domination now has Team-Hoosier claiming the top seven
positions in the points standings in sprint racing's premier
series. While purple
remains Hoosier's corporate color, you might think is would be green
with all the money Hoosier-shod drivers are collecting these days.
With just 17 races completed on the Outlaws' 106 race schedule--the
top seven drivers have so far amassed a total of $390,270 in
earnings. Odds are those earnings look to improve even more as
the series travels to the Talladega Short Track where Team-Hoosier was
4-0 last season. Last year, Steve and Mark Kinser each captured a win
in the Spring races, while Shane Stewart and Andy Hillenburg won the
Fall contests.
The dirt domination by Team-Hoosier has not just been on the
Outlaws circuit either. Team-Hoosier
remains undefeated in Pennsylvania at Lincoln, Williams Grove and Port
Royal Speedways where they have collected 12 wins and no defeats. Add that
to their 9-0 record in the All Star Circuit of
Champions and their sweep of the top eight positions in the Gumout opener in
Texas, and the mark balloons to a staggering 37-2 record for teams opting to ride
on Hoosier tires. |
