LAKEVILLE, IN
-- In just the past week, Team-Hoosier notched three more 1-2-3
finishes in Pennzoil World of Outlaws competition. First, it was Danny
Lasoski, Shane Stewart and Brad Furr in the preliminary at Talladega.
Then, it was Danny Lasoski, Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser finishing
1-2-3 in the Talladega finale to make it two-for-two for the
Indiana-based tire manufacturer. Lastly, it was Mark Kinser, Steve
Kinser and Randy Hannagan completing the triple sweep at Lakeside
Speedway on Wednesday. Amazingly, teams using Hoosier tires have
finished 1-2-3 in 17 of the 20 Outlaw races contested this year. The
next stop on the Outlaws circuit will be this Friday--a two-day show
at Iowa's Knoxville Raceway where three of the four races contested there last
year were won by Hoosier-shod drivers. Craig Dollansky won once and Danny Lasoski
twice there on
Hoosier tires last season.
Following Knoxville is a stop at Nebraska Raceway Park in
Greenwood, NE where Hoosier-shod cars were undefeated in all three
races contested there last year. Amazingly, Mark Kinser won three
consecutive nights the one stop the Outlaws made at Greenwood in 2001.
Combine last year's perfect stop in Greenwood with Team-Hoosier's
current 90% winning percentage in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series
and it could be another successful weekend for teams using the Hoosier
brand.
Currently, the top seven
drivers in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series standings ride on Hoosier tires. |
