LAKEVILLE, IN -- Team-Hoosier
recorded a pair of 1-2 finishes in Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series
competition this past week as the series heads into the "Outlaws
Showdown" at Lowe's Motor Speedway this Friday. This past
Thursday at Williams Grove Speedway, 16-time Champion Steve Kinser
captured his 6th A-feature win of the season and seventh win overall,
while on Saturday at Hagerstown Speedway, Daryn Pittman posted his
second A-feature win of the year. Ironically, Tyler Walker finished
second both nights giving Team-Hoosier a pair of 1-2 finishes in the
two most recently completed Outlaw events. The series now
heads to North Carolina for two nights of racing known as the
"Outlaws Showdown" at Lowe's Motor Speedway where
Team-Hoosier won three of four Outlaw races in 2001. To date,
Team-Hoosier boasts a stellar record of 25 wins in 28 races in
Pennzoil World of Outlaws competition. Even more impressive, teams
using Hoosier tires have captured every runner-up position in 2002,
save one. Currently, the top six and ten of the top
eleven drivers in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series standings use Hoosier tires.
Steve Kinser commands the top spot with 3191 points followed closely
by defending Series Champion Danny Lasoski with 3189 points. Mark
Kinser, Craig Dollansky, Joey Saldana and Tim Shaffer round out
positions three through six, respectively, for the purple squad known
affectionately as Team-Hoosier. |
