LAKEVILLE, IN -- Teams using the Hoosier tire brand continue to
enjoy huge success in the sprint car arena in 2002. To date, their
record now stands at a phenomenal 66 wins in 69 races. Ironically,
Hoosier finished second in all three events that victory eluded them.
Team-Hoosier boasts a stellar 31-3 mark in the Pennzoil World of
Outlaws as the series heads into a one-night show at Farmer City, IL
on Friday. The success of the Hoosier brand on the track has
translated into the point standings too, as nine of the top ten
drivers in the series standings compete on Hoosier tires.
In the World of Outlaws Gumout Series, Team-Hoosier has finished
1-2-3 in all four of that series' stand-alone events this
season.
In central Pennsylvania, teams riding atop the purple tire brand
have amassed a perfect 31-0 mark at Williams Grove, Lincoln and Port
Royal Speedways and two special event races at Grandview and
Selinsgrove Speedways. The 66 wins in 69 races only scratches
the surface of the success enjoyed by teams using the Hoosier brand.
Take three-time Knoxville Track Champion Terry McCarl for instance.
The veteran driver is coming off his 33rd win at the famed 1/2-mile
oval and currently leads the 410 point standings on Hoosier
tires.
From Hoosier's ultra-soft D10 compound for superior qualifying
efforts, to the firm F55 compound, Hoosier has the tire and compound
to meet any track condition head-on. |
