LAKEVILLE, IN (September 12) -- Team-Hoosier enters Thursday's
Texas Showdown opener at Texas Motor Speedway on an amazing 45-race
win streak in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series. Overall this season, the Hoosier tire brand has been in
the winner's circle 76 times in the 80 races contested thus far in the
series. Team-Hoosier is coming off three consecutive podium
sweeps in the Gold Cup Race of Champions at California's Silver Dollar Speedway.
Steve Kinser, Tim Kaeding and Tim Shaffer finished
1-2-3 last Saturday marking the 57th time in 80 races the
Hoosier brand has captured the top three spots in the last race of
the night. The success hasn't just been in the Pennzoil World of
Outlaws Series either. The Hoosier brand continues to dominate across
the country as well--winning all 21 Gumout races contested this year.
Team-Hoosier has won 35 of the 43 All Star races to date and remains
undefeated in Central Pennsylvania with a sparkling 80-0 record in 410
competition. Add them all up, and Team-Hoosier has a phenomenal 212-12
record in the four sprint venues. The series has already visited
Texas Motor Speedway back in April and the result was a 1-2-3 finish
by Hoosier-shod drivers Brad Furr, Kraig Kinser and Ricky Logan. In fact, the
first eight drivers to cross the finish line in that race were riding on
Hoosier tires--and that was before the introduction of Hoosier's new
RD15 compound. Currently, the top eight drivers in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series
ride on Hoosier tires. Steve Kinser leads the driver standings
followed by Danny Lasoski (2nd), Joey Saldana and Craig Dollansky
(tied for third), Mark Kinser and Tim Shaffer (tied for fifth), Donny
Schatz (7th), Brad Furr (8th), and Randy Hannagan (10th). With nine of the top ten positions in the
standings, Team-Hoosier sets its sights on a third consecutive
Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series championship. Hoosier
Racing Tire Corp. appreciates all the teams, drivers, and fans who
have supported our efforts to provide the best sprint tires in the
world. Hoosier tires are, and have always been, proudly "Made in
the USA." |
