LAKEVILLE, IN -- Hoosier Racing
Tire Corp. and officials at New York's Holland Speedway have reached
an agreement once again naming Hoosier tires as the official tire for
its two competing NASCAR divisions. Competitors in the Late Model Pro
Stock and the Pro Modified divisions will both be on Hoosier's 2060
and 2070 tires at the famed 3/8-mile track.
Holland Speedway General
Manager Tim Bennett stated, "The people at Hoosier have been
working with us so that we can offer a reliable and cost effective
tire for our competitors." 2001 Late Model Pro Stock Champion
Vern Bliss had this to say about the impact of Hoosier tires on his
recent title: "Hoosier Racing Tire was a big piece of the puzzle
in producing a great handling car. It was not only in the handling but
that they were very repeatable." Bliss added, "We were able
to be competitive when running three to four weeks on a set." Hoosier
Manager of Contract Sales Irish Saunders commented on the agreement,
"We are extremely pleased Tim (Bennett) and his associates at
Holland Speedway have again opted to use Hoosier tires exclusively in
their two competing NASCAR divisions." Saunders will be attending
Holland Speedway's Spring Registration Party on March 19 to answer
any questions competitors may have about the new high performance race
tires on which they will be competing in 2002. Questions can be answered
about
obtaining Hoosier tires by calling the Holland Speedway Office
at (716) 537-2272 during business hours Monday-Friday. Competitors
should be able to obtain tires at the track after April 1. Hoosier
Racing Tire Corp. is proud that NASCAR racing at Holland Speedway will
be on USA-made Hoosier tires for the 2002
season. |
