J.J. YELEY & HOOSIER ON TOP
IN USAC INDIANA SPRINT WEEK

LAKEVILLE, IN -- The USAC Series completed its annual Indiana Sprint Week event with Hoosier-shod J.J. Yeley being crowned this year's champion. Yeley won the title by finishing in the top three in all eight races making up the Indiana Sprint Week program. Yeley's point total during the ten day event was 521 followed by Jay Drake with 446 points. Drake also rides on Hoosier tires. The Hoosier brand stood atop the podium on seven of the eight nights of action. Ironically, the one victory that eluded the purple tire brand was the one event that was televised nationally. But those that follow racing know which brand dominated the 2003 USAC Indiana Sprint Week and that's the race tire brand based in Indiana--Hoosier. Yeley has now tied A.J. Foyt for the most USAC National wins--19. Yeley also stands atop the USAC National Sprint Car Series standings with 1556 points followed by Tracy Hines (1310), Jay Drake (1301), Bud Kaeding (1142), and Boston Reid (944). The USAC National Sprint Car Series is back in action this Saturday at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway where all the competitors will be racing on Hoosier tires.
