 VALDOSTA,
GA (May 10, 2008) -- Steve Kirk, Jr. set a new American Drag Racing League ET
record in the Extreme 10.5 class at South Georgia Motorsports Park on Saturday.
Kirk set the record using a pair of Hoosier 33.0/10.5-15 C11 drag slicks
posting a 4.266 (1/8 mile) ET at 173.43 mph.
Other drivers on Hoosier tires included Josh Hernandez who won the Pro
Extreme final in his '57 Chevy. For Hernandez, it was his second consecutive
ADRL national event win. Hernandez met Quain Stott, also on Hoosiers, in the
finals posting a 3.82 ET (195.87 mph) for the win.
