LAKEVILLE,
IN -- The 2002 racing season was not only successful for Team-Hoosier
in dirt racing's premier forums such as the Pennzoil World of Outlaws,
the Gumout Series, and the All-Star Series, where their champions all
ride atop the Hoosier brand, it was also a huge success in micro
sprint tracks across the country. Paul Moyer from Moyer Motorsports
reports that Hoosier tires recorded 100 micro sprint wins this
season--led by Howard Weaver (shown at left) with 17 wins. The 100
wins were notched by 22 different drivers in what turned out to be a
highly competitive season once again.
The 600cc drivers use Hoosier's 69.0/10.0-10 tire
(#42237) for their right rear selection in any one of nine different
compounds.
Hoosier Open Wheel Dirt Product Manager Neil Cowman
commented, "Paul (Moyer) and Dave (Young) did another
wonderful job servicing their weekly customers and increased their win
total from 51 last year to 100 this year!"
Hoosier Tire Midwest Dealer Paul Moyer reported that
within the 100 wins for the Hoosier brand were 12 first-time winners
and five class track champions. Congratulations go out to the
following Hoosier-shod track champions.
