BAY, WI (October 23) -- Justin Diercks was recognized this past
Saturday as the NASCAR Midwest Series champion at the series banquet
at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center. The Davenport, IA driver
is shown here accepting a leather Hoosier jacket from Hoosier Tire
Midwest's Chad Anderson. The 24-year-old driver captured his first
series championship over defending and nine-time series champion Steve
Carlson. Diercks won six of the series' 13 races en route to claiming
the title. The top ten drivers in the NASCAR Midwest Series are
invited to participate in the NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown on
November 11-13. The event invites the top ten drivers from the four
NASCAR Elite Divisions (Midwest, Northwest, Southwest, Southeast) to
determine an overall winner. All four divisions run exclusively on
Hoosier tires. All NASCAR Midwest Series events are serviced by
Hoosier Tire Midwest.
