LAKEVILLE,
IN (November 18) -- Hoosier has been selected by NASCAR as its
exclusive tire supplier for five of the eight NASCAR Touring
divisions. The agreement will be for the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
Hoosier tires will be the only tires used in the RE/MAX Challenge
Series, All Pro Series, Featherlite Southwest Series, and the
Northwest Series. The Featherlite Modified Series is the fifth NASCAR
series to exclusively run the Hoosier brand and will next year be in
the second year of a long term agreement.
The news was delivered by NASCAR's Regional Touring
Director Chris Boals to Dennis Sherman late last week after top level
meetings in the series. The decision results in Hoosier taking over as
the exclusive supplier to the Featherlite Southwest Series and the
Northwest Series, while remaining the exclusive supplier to the All
Pro Series, RE/MAX Challenge Series and Featherlite Modified
Series.
Hoosier Manager of Contract Sales Irish Saunders
commented on the decision, "This is great news. The fact that
NASCAR elected to expand Hoosier's presence as a supplier speaks
volumes about their confidence in our products." Saunders added,
"This will be the perfect fit for both Hoosier and NASCAR. The
premier short track sanctioning body joining forces with the premier
short track tire manufacturer."
Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. is proud to partner with
NASCAR through the 2004 season. Hoosier tires are, and have always
been, proudly "Made in the USA."
