LAKEVILLE,
IN -- The 2003 season draws closer to an end with yet another
Hoosier-only NASCAR Series completing its final race of the year. In
the NASCAR Raybestos Brakes Northwest Series, Gary Lewis won the final
race of the season, while it was Jeff Jefferson claiming his first
championship with a fifth place finish at Wenatchee Valley's Super
Oval in East Wenatchee, WA on Saturday night. This closes the books on
the second of five NASCAR divisions which employ a Hoosier-only
tire-rule in 2003. In the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series, rain
forced Sunday's "Carquest Fall Final 150" at Stafford Motor
Speedway to be postponed until October 4.
