LAKEVILLE,
IN -- Three of the five NASCAR Touring divisions which Hoosier
exclusively provides tires for were in action over the weekend. In the

Kentucky Speedway on Friday. The race was the first in the history of
the track to be run without a caution period. On Saturday in both the
NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series and the NASCAR Northwest Series,
they each enjoyed their fifth different winner in six events contested
to date. First in the Featherlite Modified Series, Todd Szegedy won
the Lake Erie 150, at Pennsylvania's Lake Erie Speedway after starting

NASCAR KODAK SOUTHEAST SERIES
SPARTA, KY (June 13) -- Hoosier tires were a part of history Friday
evening at Kentucky Speedway when The Kentucky 150 was contested and
became the first-ever race to be run at the facility without a caution
period. Scott Carlson led all but 12 laps of the race en route to
collecting his first NASCAR Southeast Series win of the season. After
four races, the highly competitive series has yet to see its first
repeat winner of the season.
Thirty-seven cars started the 100-lap race on the
1.5-mile Kentucky Speedway with Scott Carlson starting from the pole.
Carlson earned the Bud Pole Award honors after posting a 155.489 mph

laps, only briefly giving way to John Wilkinson III for 12 laps,
before regaining the lead on lap 91. Carlson led the remainder of the
way to take the win and collect $8,325. For Carlson, who generally
only competes in the series on its speedway events, it was his third

winning the Bud Pole Award.
