JUSTIN DIERCKS & JEFF FULTZ WINNERS

LAKEVILLE,
IN -- Two of the five NASCAR divisions that exclusively run on Hoosier
tires were in action over the weekend with both race winners each
notching their second win of the season. In the NASCAR Southeast
Series, Jeff Fultz won the "Kentucky 150" at Kentucky
Speedway Friday night. Fultz, who started fourth, led 96 of the 107
race laps to capture the win and collect $11,000. On Saturday in the
NASCAR Midwest Series, Justin Diercks (photo) made it two in a row
winning the "Kwik Trip Glazers 150" at LaCrosse (WI)
Fairgrounds Speedway. Diercks led all but the first lap of the 150-lap
race en route to his second win of the season. The Davenport, IA
driver pocketed $3,835 for his efforts. Hoosier Oval Asphalt Product
Manager Terry Newton attended the race where all the competitors rode
on Hoosier's 2220 left side and 2240 right side tires. This same
combination will be used in all but two of the series' 13 races this
season.

NASCAR SOUTHEAST SERIES
|

SPARTA,
KY (June 18) -- Twenty-six drivers took the green flag Friday evening
with Erik Darnell on the pole after claiming the Bud Pole Award as the
fastest qualifier. Darnell led the race's first 13 circuits before
giving way to fourth starting Jeff Fultz. Fultz, a winner of six races
last season, led the remainder of the distance (94 laps) to claim his
second win of the year.
Fultz, from Cincinnati, OH, was followed to the finish
line by Chris Davidson of Texas and previous race winner J.R Norris in second and third,
respectively. The
margin of victory was .262 seconds. Robert Richardson III, Kevin Prince and Greg Pope
finished fourth through sixth and completed the list of lead-lap
finishers. The race had three cautions for a total of 18 laps. It
was the second event of the season the series has used Hoosier's 2053 left
side and 2170 right side tires.
With the win, Jeff Fultz leaps from third place to
first place in the driver rankings followed by Jason Hogan and J.R.
Norris.
The NASCAR Southeast Series will be back in action
July 1st, at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, GA.

NASCAR MIDWEST SERIES
|
|
WEST SALEM, WI (June 19) -- Twenty-four cars started
Saturday's Midwest Series race at Lacrosse (WI) Fairgrounds Speedway
with Justin Diercks on the pole and Steve Carlson alongside.
Carlson led the race's first lap, before Diercks got
tired of the view and moved to the front of the field where he stayed
until the checkered flag waved on lap 150. Diercks
collected $3,835 for the win.
Following Diercks to the line was Steve Carlson, Tim
Schendel, Erik Darnell and Eric Fransen who charged from 12th place.
Ryan Hansen, the Bud Pole Award winner, finished in sixth place--the
last car on the lead lap. The race had just two cautions for a total
of eight laps.
With the win, Justin Diercks is now tied with
defending series champion Steve Carlson in the driver rankings with
510 points. Brian Hoppe is in third place with 473 points. Hoppe
finished ninth in Saturday's race.
The NASCAR Midwest Series gets right back at it this
weekend, June 27th, with a stop at Wisconsin's International Raceway
for the rained out race that had been originally slated for May 31st.
