In the NASCAR Midwest Series, Eddie Hoffman (photo) interrupted Justin Diercks' win streak of three consecutive wins by capturing the Freedom 150, at Pikes Peak International Raceway on Saturday. Hoffman becomes only the third different winner in the series as Justin Diercks has dominated the racing with five wins this season, while Steve Carlson is the only other race winner with two wins. In the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series, Chuck Hossfeld won his first race of the year capturing the Coca-Cola 150, at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts on Saturday. Amazingly, Hossfeld becomes the 8th different winner this year in the 11 races contested to date in the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series. With just five races remaining on the NASCAR Southwest Series schedule, Jim Raudman claimed his second win of the season winning the AutoZone 125, at Stockton 99 Speedway Saturday night. The win edged Raudman's lead in the driver rankings to 13 points over Jim Pettit, III after Pettit finished in third place.

The event will be the only one run using Hoosier's 2053 left side and 2157 right side tires.

With his third place finish, Justin Diercks added to his lead in the driver standings over defending series champion Steve Carlson. Diercks is now 35 markers ahead of the series veteran. Tim Schendel is in third place with Brian Hoppe and Eddie Hoffman rounding out the top five in the standings.

The series has just two days off before returning to action Tuesday night, August 3rd, at Wisconsin International Speedway.
