LAKEVILLE,
IN -- It was a busy week in NASCAR regional racing with four of the
five divisions exclusively using Hoosier tires in action.
In a rare Tuesday night race, the NASCAR Midwest
Series took to the track at Kaukauna's Wisconsin International
Raceway where Steve Carlson (photo) won his third race of the season.
The scheduled 300-lap "Oneida Bingo & Casino 300" was
cut short by rain after 211 laps with Carlson declared the winner.
Finishing in second place was current series point leader and 5-time
race winner this year Justin Diercks.
In the NASCAR Northwest Series, Jason
Jefferson, having won the first two events of the year, returned to
the winner's circle for the third time winning the 6th annual
"Rumble in the Rockies Miller Lite 125" at Montana Raceway
Park on Saturday.
In the NASCAR Southeast Series, Jeff Fultz won
his fourth race of the year and 21st of his career tying Wayne
Anderson as the series' winningest driver. Fultz captured the
"AutoZone 150" at Myrtle Beach Speedway on Saturday.
In the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series race
at Riverhead Raceway, Donny Lia won Saturday's "Riverhead
200" becoming the series' ninth different winner in 12 races
contested to date. Ironically, it was Lia's second career win with his
only other win coming last year in the same event.
Congratulations to these four drivers on their
victories and to all the teams who raced on Tires Designed For
Champions made by Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. For complete race
results, visit www.nascar.com
