KENT,
WA (August 24) -- Only one of the five NASCAR Series' that Hoosier exclusively
provides tires for was in action over the weekend. In the NASCAR
Raybestos Northwest Series, Jeff Jefferson picked up his second win of
the season, and first road course win ever, when he won the 63-lap
"Northwest Chevy Dealers 150" at Washington's Pacific
Raceway. The driver of the Morgan Transport/Gary Mears Trucking #42
collected $6,575 for the win. Jefferson is now third in the driver
standings heading into the final three races of the season.
Ironically, Jefferson leads the series in earnings with over $21,000
in cash and prizes won this season. Chris Hart continues to lead the
driver standings by 102 points over Jason Jefferson (Jeff's brother).
Hart is the only three-race winner this season.
Following Jeff Jefferson to the finish line were Kevin
Hamlin, Pete Harding, Jeff Bailey and Rod Schultz to round out the top
five. Ten of the 29 race starters finished the race on the lead lap.
Completing the list of lead-lap finishers were Jason Jefferson, Chris
Hart, John Bender, Brandon Kraus and Matt Hall in sixth through tenth,
respectively.
The NASCAR Raybestos Northwest Series now heads to
Tri-City Raceway in West Richland, Washington on Sunday, August 31 for
a 125-lap event.
Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. is proud to have been
selected by NASCAR to provide its USA-made Hoosier tires to the NASCAR
