LAKEVILLE,
IN -- Jeff Fultz (photo wearing Hoosier "Splash" hat) won
his sixth race of the season in the final event of the season in the
NASCAR Kodak Southeast Series. Fultz won Saturday's "Flexcheck
Cash Advance 150" at Greenville Pickens Speedway in the C&C
Boilers, Cleaver Brooks #54 taking the lead on lap 91 of the 150-lap
race. But it was 21-year-old Charlie Bradberry (photo-hoisting trophy

defending series champion. Bradberry becomes the youngest
champion in the history of the NASCAR Southeast Series. While in the
NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series, defending series champion Eddy
McKean won his first race of the season Saturday winning the
"John Baker 150" at Tucson Raceway Park. Auggie Vidovich,
Jr. continues to lead the driver standings by 71 points over Jim
Pettit II heading into the final three events of the season. Hoosier

NASCAR KODAK SOUTHEAST SERIES
GREENVILLE, SC (September 20) -- Twenty-four cars started the
"Flexcheck Cash Advance 150" at Greenville Pickens Speedway
on Saturday. The race was originally scheduled earlier last month
(August 9), but rain forced it to be rescheduled.
After posting the second fastest time in qualifying,
Jeff Fultz started in ninth after the inversion. On lap 91, Fultz took
the lead and eventually the win when the checked flag fell on lap 150.
Fultz, who won the last three races in the series, and six races
overall, did all he could to repeat as series champion. But it was
21-year-old Charlie Bradberry winning the championship by 17 points
over Fultz. Bradberry entered the final event of the season 37 points ahead
of Fultz and knew a seventh place finish or better would result in him
winning the NASCAR Southeast Series title. When the checkered flag
dropped, Bradberry finished in fourth place becoming the youngest
champion ever in the NASCAR Southeast Series.
Amazingly, half the starting field finished the race
on the lead lap. Rounding out the list of top ten finishers were
Fultz, David Reutimann, Jason Hogan, Charlie Bradberry, Johnny
Brazier, Steven Howard, John Wilkenson III, Terry Mason, Jr., Kevin
Prince and Justin Wakefield. Completing the list of lead-lap finishers
were Ted Mickelson in 11th and Dusty Williams in 12th.
Fultz collected $4,600 for the win, while David
Reutimann pocketed $3,225 for the runner-up spot.
The 2003 season now comes to a close in the NASCAR
Kodak Southeast Series with Charlie Bradberry being crowned the
champion. Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. congratulates Charlie and all the
Southeast Series competitors for making the 2003 season such an
exciting one.

the season. The defending series champion won the "John Baker
150" at Arizona's Tucson Raceway Park on Saturday. The race had
just three cautions for 16 laps and set a new race record for a
150-lap event at the facility taking just 47 minutes and 7 seconds to
complete.
Steve Bolletto led the race's first 42 laps before
fellow front row starter Eddy McKean made the pass for the lead.
McKean led the remainder of the way to take the win and pocket $2,900.
Auggie Vidovich, Jr. came in second followed by Danny Burson, Steve
Bolletto and Dan Holtz rounding out the top five as nine drivers
finished the race on the lead-lap. Completing the list of lead-lap
finishers were Mike Ledbetter, Burney Lamar, Jim Pettit II and J.R.
Patton in sixth through ninth, respectively.
