MILLINGTON,
TN (September 19-22) -- Team-Hoosier put in another strong showing
over the weekend at the NHRA's 15th annual O'Reilly Mid-South
Nationals at Memphis Motorsports Park. Despite the rather wet weather,
the event was completed with three drivers carried into their
respective class finals while riding atop a pair of Hoosier drag
tires. In Pro Mod, Mike Ashley made it to the final round, while in
Super Stock, Harvey Emmons III carried the Hoosier banner, And in
Stock, Toby Lang made it to the final round for Team-Hoosier.
PRO MOD
Our Hoosier-hats are off to Mike Ashley who took runner-up honors in
Pro Mod in his Gotham City '41 Willys.
SUPER STOCK
Harvey Emmons III pocketed another national event win bringing his
total to ten when his opponent red lighted in the final round.
Ironically, Emmons broke after traveling only 10' in the final round,
but was still awarded the win after his opponent left early.
STOCK
In stock, Toby Lang got a huge jump at the light with a .524 RT to his
opponent's .567 RT. Lang then held on for the win as both drivers
broke out with Lang the lesser offender. Lang posted a 11.781 ET
(-.019) to his opponent's 11.757 ET (-.053) en route to the win. The
win was Lang's sixth national event win.
Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. continues to recognize the
growing ranks of competitors who have opted to use Hoosier tires for
their drag racing efforts.
