LAKEVILLE,
IN -- Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. is pleased to introduce a new tread
design for the WRS-plated tire. The new tire features the same
construction and compound as the old WRS tire but in a more user
friendly tread pattern. The new pattern eliminates 90% of the grooving
generally done to the WRS tire. The new WRS tread pattern can be used
uncut with no modifications, or grooved and siped quickly in
unrestricted competition.
"Although there were very few concerns with our existing WRS
tire, we felt this tire was a perfect platform to introduce some new
tread pattern ideas." said Hoosier Product Manager Shanon Rush.
"We are very pleased to offer our WRS customers a tire that can
be quickly grooved or raced without extra grooving. We have changed the
sidewall marking to WRS-2, but we expect no changes in the performance
or durability of this tire."
The new WRS tread pattern will be available in all
three existing sizes and should be in stock at your nearest Hoosier
Racing Tire Distributor by August 1st.
