LAKEVILLE, IN
(July 31, 2002) -- Rarely has a new compound
made such a dramatic impact as Hoosier's new RD15 compound. In its
first appearance, the RD15 compound won all three nights at the inaugural
Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway. Danny Lasoski won the
opening night, while Joey Saldana and Greg Hodnett won the second and
final nights of competition. The one common factor in all three wins
was each used Hoosier's new RD15 compound on their right rear tire
position.
Despite enjoying a winning percentage of better than 90% in the
Pennzoil World of Outlaws and being undefeated in 60 events in Central
Pennsylvania, Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. still saw room for improvement
in its arsenal. The result was the introduction of the RD15 compound
which is now widely available as an option on the 105/18.0-15 C2000
tire which burst onto the scene with three consecutive wins at
Williams Grove Speedway in the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series. The
RD15 was designed to fit between our D12 and D15 compound options. The
RD15 provided superior results when encountering dry/slick conditions
and when the RD12 may be too soft. Feel free to contact your local Hoosier Tire
