LAKEVILLE, IN --
East Coast, West Coast, the one common theme over the weekend on
sprint tracks across the country was Hoosier tires. While Team-Hoosier
was dominating action on the West Coast in the Pennzoil World of
Outlaws Series, sprint teams in Pennsylvania were doing their part to
keep the purple banner in the forefront of sprint racing. On Saturday
at Lincoln Speedway, Keith Kauffman was the first of four Hoosier-shod
drivers to cross the finish line in the 30-lap A-feature. On Sunday,
Greg Hodnett led an even larger purple parade to the finish line at
Williams Grove Speedway. Hodnett was the first of 11 drivers to cross
the line on Hoosier tires before the first competing tire crossed the
stripe.
