Amanda & Colton Price found victory circle on Hoosier quarter midget tires!MONROE, WA (April 19, 2009) -- Amanda and Colton Price were all smiles after capturing wins in the season-opening Washington Quarter Midget Association Region 9 race on Sunday. The brother and sister combination each rode Hoosier tires to victory in their respective classes.

The redesigned track meant old records would fall and a rare opportunity for 103 competitors to etch their names into the record books.

Amanda Price, racing in the Heavy 160 class, used Hoosier's new A35 compound to post a qualifying time which placed her on the front row of the A main event. Although the A main feature was riddled with cautions and was shortened as a result, Amanda was ready on each restart and went on to collect the A main victory.

However, Amanda's brother Colton didn't fair as well in qualifying. Due to a shock issue, Colton started his feature from the rear of the field in the 340# World Formula A main event.

Colton, also using Hoosier A35's, began his march to the front by skillfully maneuvering through race traffic. In fact, during one long green flag run Colton was approaching a 1/2 lap advantage over the entire field!

Despite several cautions, Colton and his Hoosiers were up to the task. Colton went on to win the World Formula A main after starting from the rear of the field.

Austin Edson sets a new track record on Hoosiers!Austin Edson also used Hoosier A35's on the right side of his car (33.0/5.0-6 & 34.5/6.5-6) and a 32" Hoosier A30 left rear to claim fast time of the day and a new track record in the Heavy Honda class.

After the race, Hoosier dealer Phil Abenroth observed, "I am very impressed with the ability of this new A35 to fire off much more quickly than the competition. Yet, it is still as fast or faster over the long run."

Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. would like to congratulate and thank all the drivers who rode on our products during the event.
