UNIVERSITAT STUTTGART WINS MICHIGAN FSAE EVENT ON HOOSIERS!

BROOKLYN, MI (May 8-11, 2013) -- This year's annual Formula SAE competition at Michigan International Speedway attracted more than 100 collegiate race teams from ten different countries with the Universitat Stuttgart coming away the overall winner.

The Univeritat Stuttgart had competed in the annual competition since 2010 finishing in third place three consecutive times.

This year though, they brought a redesigned race car that was smaller, stronger and faster than the previous entry.

They also switched tire brands from last year's entry. As with most teams at the competition, they opted to compete on Hoosier racing tires.

It's no secret that the Hoosier brand has dominated the annual competition over the years being used by the last five winners with Hoosier tires being the choice of 12 of the past 14 event champions. More

GLOBAL FORMULA RACING WINS 3RD CONSECUTIVE FSAE TITLE ON HOOSIERS!

Hoosier tires were the choice of 3-time FSAE champion Global Formula Racing.

BROOKLYN, MI (May 10-12, 2012) -- For the third consecutive year, students from Oregon State University teamed up with students from Duale Hochschule Baden-Wurrttemberg-Ravensburg in Germany as part of Global Formula Racing (GFR) to capture the top spot in this year's Formula SAE competition at Michigan International Speedway.

Like most teams at this year's annual event, GFR competed on Hoosier tires. The win is the 11th in the past 13 years by a team using Hoosier racing tires. In fact, Hoosier tires were used by eight of the top ten teams overall for the second year in a row.

Oregon State University and Duale Hochschule Baden-Wurrttemberg-Ravensburg have worked together on various aspects of vehicle design for the past five years. The first two years the schools each built their own car. However, the last three years the two schools co-produced a single car to compete in both the U.S. and the European competitions. More

HOOSIER TIRE 2012 ROAD RACING CONTINGENCY PROGRAM UPDATED

Lakeville, IN (February 24, 2012) -- Hoosier Tire’s generous contingency program with SCCA Club, SCCA Solo and NASA series will continue throughout the 2012 racing season. The Hoosier contingency program has increased Hoosier’s presence in the grassroots club racing market. This program has benefitted many club racing competitors who typically race for non-monetary awards like points, trophies or free product. By awarding free product, like race car parts to club racers, it entices the competitor to continue to race, be brand loyal and saves money to spend on other racing expenses. Take a moment to review the updated 2012 contingency payout and awards at the link below and if you have any questions please contact Paula Nate, pnate@hoosiertire.com.

"NEW H2O WET HELPED ME EARN MY FIRST SCCA SOLO NATS TROPHY!" Submitted by: Chris Robbins

Chris Robbins finds success on Hoosier H2O tires!LINCOLN, NE -- My 2006 Mazda MX-5 (3rd generation Miata) is prepped for C Street Prepared class autocross competition, where I compete against the smaller & much lighter 1st and 2nd gen Miatas.

My drivetrain/suspension mods include AST 5220 coilovers, Hyperco springs, Hotchkis RX-8 front swaybar (no rear bar), full polyurethane bushings, and Mazdaspeed LSD. The engine is producing close to 200 hp and 170 tq (crank). It weighed 2360 at Nats this year, or nearly 400 lbs more than my competition.

My best finish at Nats was 11th in 2010, although the car does have a National Championship title (Juliann Pokorny won the CSP Ladies class in 2009, in the rain on Day 2, on Hoosier Wets). More

2011 Cayman Interseries Season Wraps Up With Competitive Final Day of Action at Daytona Historics

Schneider Takes First Win in Morning Sprint; Riddell Solos to Enduro Victory

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (November 13, 2011) – A competitive final day of competition at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) brought a successful 2011 Cayman Interseries season to a close as Bob Schneider scored the first race victory of his career and Bill Riddell soloed to his first overall endurance race win of the season Sunday as the HSR Daytona Historics weekend wrapped up.

After joining coach and co-driver Chris Hall for a third-place showing in Saturday’s endurance race, Schneider stepped up on his own in the Sunday morning seven-lap sprint race and promptly won the first race of his competitive career that began just this past June. Schneider also turned the fastest race lap of the sprint at 2:03.828 (103.789 mph) in his white No. 40 Cayman S that runs in the colors of the legendary Martini “Baby” Porsche 935. More

DANNY STEYN WINS THE PRESTIGEOUS 2011 AMERICAN ROAD RACE OF CHAMPIONS AT ROAD ATLANTA ON HOOSIERS! Testimony of a Champion...

Danny Steyn 2011 ARRC winner with engine builder Mike Rossini“Prior to this year’s ARRC, there was a lot of discussion on the Spec Miata forums as to what tire we should run. The ARRC has always been an open tire format, but for the past several years, Toyos were the spec tire for our class and everyone had a lot of data for the Toyos,” said Danny Steyn.

“On the test day we swapped each session between the Toyos and the Hoosiers and the data consistently said that the Hoosiers were at least 3/10ths faster per lap and stayed faster for the entire session. So we made the choice to run Hoosiers and I was able to put down an almost perfect lap in qualifying, running under the lap record and nailed the pole. Being able to start at the front is a huge advantage at Road Atlanta as the infield from T3 to Turn 7 is generally single file, and you don’t want to be held up there or you will lose the draft from your competitors.” More

MONTEREY, Calif. Davis led into Turn 1 at the race start in his black and red No. 33 Cayman S that carries the colors of the Advan Porsche 956s and 962s and Luna-C Clothing, but immediately felt what was going to be race-long pressure from debuting driver Jack Kachadurian.  Driving a No. 14 Cayman S in the theme of a Richard Lloyd Racing Canon Porsche 956, Kachadurian jumped from third to second at the race start and kept the heat on Davis for the majority of the race. More
