TOPEKA, KS (September 11-14) -- You would think improving on last year's Solo
II Nationals results might be a daunting task for Team Hoosier, given the fact that they
captured more national class championships than all other tire manufacturers combined,
but that's exactly what drivers using Hoosier tires did. After collecting a
"best-ever" 38 national titles in 2000, Team Hoosier banded together
to capture an amazing 47 national titles in the 55 classes contested
in which Hoosier competed.
A record 699, of the 1,092 world's best SCCA drivers, competed on Hoosier tires
during the 2001 Solo II Nationals at Topeka. The trust these drivers placed in
the Hoosier brand was rewarded with national titles in a staggering 85% of the
classes Team Hoosier competes in.
